Most 1911s end at the muzzle. This one keeps going. Built on a Caspian Arms Ltd. frame out of Wolcott, Vermont, this is a long-slide custom chambered in .45 ACP, with an extended slide and barrel that push the sight radius well past what a Government model offers. The forward weight settles the pistol in the hand and keeps the muzzle steady through a string. That's the whole point of building one this way.

The slide carries a ported cut near the muzzle, four vent holes that bleed gas upward to fight muzzle rise. It's machined right into the slide and barrel rather than added on. Flat-top serrations run the length of the upper, giving the slide a deliberate, finished look that cuts glare. Up front sits a red fiber-optic dot that picks up light fast and lines up cleanly against the dark finish. The whole gun wears a muted black tactical coating, evenly applied, with sharp vertical cocking serrations and a skeletonized hammer and trigger.

Grip side is where the personality lives. The panels carry a bold SWAT-style emblem set into checkered black, flanked by smooth diamond accents at the screws. A beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety, and a flat checkered mainspring housing round out the controls. The magazine wears a Chip McCormick Custom Power Mag base pad, the kind competition shooters reach for.

This is a hand-fitted build, not a production gun off a rack. Parts are mated tight, the bore is bright with clean rifling, and the finish shows only light handling marks. For a collector who likes purpose-built 1911s, especially long-slide configurations with real porting and a story behind the dress, this Caspian sits in a category most custom shops never touch. It reads as duty gear and display piece at the same time.
