SIG Sauer P226 X-Five Tactical Grey - Mastershop

Most P226 X-Five pistols come dressed in bright stainless or polished trim that announces their competition roots from across the room. This one takes the opposite approach. The entire pistol wears a uniform Tactical Grey coating, slide and frame alike, with only the black controls and the black thread cap breaking up the tone. It reads as a working tool first and a precision target gun second, and that restraint is exactly what makes it stand out in a lineup of its siblings.

The slide carries the rollmarks you want to see. SIG Sauer Inc Newington NH USA along the right, Made in Germany on the left, and the P226 designation with the X-FIVE script cut into the flat. That German origin matters here. This is a Mastershop-era build chambered in 9mm, and the long X-Five slide gives it the balance and sight radius the line is known for.

Up front sits a 5.5-inch threaded barrel capped with a knurled black thread protector that tucks neatly against the slide's angular nose. The dust cover runs long and carries a full accessory rail. Look closely and you find an adjustable target rear paired with a post front, the single-action trigger, and the ambidextrous controls that competition shooters expect.

The grips are textured polymer panels with SIG SAUER molded into the right side, giving a confident hold without biting into the hand. Front strap and backstrap both carry fine checkering.

This pistol still wears its factory hang tag and German paperwork. For a shooter who wants the X-Five platform without the flash, or a collector chasing the German Mastershop guns before that chapter closed, this Tactical Grey configuration is one of the harder ones to track down.
